The Aquarium dominates demand, but it is not the only indoor option around the Old Port. The current inventory also includes the Galata maritime museum and submarine, Biosfera, Città dei Bambini, FantaCinema, Columbus House and Villa del Principe. Combination tickets can save queueing, but only when you genuinely want every included venue.

Check whether a product is a direct entry ticket, a bundle or a guided visit, and never assume a time slot is flexible.
Good to know
The historic centre and its narrow caruggi, the Rolli palaces, the Old Port and Aquarium, and the city’s maritime history. Current bookable offers are strongest for museum tickets, guided walks, food tours and whale-watching cruises.
Not in the classic sandy-resort sense. The city has a 30-kilometre coast, but local beaches and coves are mostly pebbly or rocky. Boccadasse, Corso Italia and Nervi suit a seaside walk better than a resort-style beach day.
Yes. Current offers include a roughly five-hour boat trip from Genoa and road transfers. Independent travellers often go via Santa Margherita Ligure and continue by local bus or boat; always check the day’s timetable.
They are possible as a long day trip, not a nearby city attraction. The national park recommends the train because roads and parking are difficult. A private tour appears in the current Genoa inventory, but many Cinque Terre products actually depart from La Spezia or Florence and are excluded here.
The current Genoa inventory includes cruises from the city into the Pelagos Sanctuary. Sightings involve wild animals and cannot be guaranteed; compare the stated duration and operator terms before booking.
No for the historic centre, Old Port and main museums. Genoa also has buses, metro, urban rail, lifts and funiculars. A car is often a burden in the dense centre; it becomes more useful only for a wider Ligurian itinerary.
